Homemade Kale Chips!

This is something we have been making for quite some time.  Homemade Kale Chips!  It’s easy and only a few ingredients required.  We use the Nesco Dehydrator found here.  It is great for more than Kale chips. We have made homemade fruit roll-ups, plantain chips, and much more with this awesome machine!

Here is what you will need for the Kale Chips:

  • 1 Bunch of Kale
  • 2 Table spoons of Tahini
  • Spices of your choice  We commonly use
    • Chili Seasoning
    • Garlic and Onion Powder
    • Tumeric and Cumin
  • Salt

In a large mixing bowl, rip the Kale off the stems into “chip” sized pieces.  Add the Tahini and the spices of your choice and some salt, if desired. Using your hands, mix well.  Add Kale to the dehydrator trays and set the temperature to 145.  Let the dehydrator run for 4-6 hours until the chips reach your desired crispiness.  Enjoy!!!
